New Facebook Group in KC for UFO Watchers

There is a new Facebook group for those in the greater Kansas City area
- Kansas City Lights UFO Watch. The group was set up as a place for the public to post photos and descriptions of their UFO sightings. The Kansas City Lights, as they have come to be known, have been appearing in the greater KC area, mostly in eastern Jackson County and Clay county since late April of 2012 where they were first reported by witnesses in Blue Springs, Missouri.

The descriptions of these objects are usually stationary bright lights, the size of Venus, with spinning multi-colored lights that go from right to left. Sometimes more than one of the same type appears in the sky at once. Often the lights remain stationary for a while, then move slowly out of sight, or shoot across the sky at incredible speeds, sometimes returning to the exact same spot it started out. In at least two sighting reports, witnesses watched the object drop to the ground then shoot back up again.

With high-powered binoculars investigators and witnesses have seen grid-like metallic objects around the lights.

The objects have been investigated by seasoned investigators with Missouri MUFON and the International Space Station, planets, and conventional aircraft have been ruled out.
